1:1 Intercultural Supervision at Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy CIC is currently provided by Beverley J Weston. Group supervision and professional, reflective non clinical supervision is also available dependent on circumstances.
Mabadiliko Intercultural Supervision aims to enhance the cultural competence of Counsellors & Psychotherapists. Enhancing the ability to be able to work with 'difference and diversity' in a culturally and spiritually sensitive way.
In addition to typical presenting issues, consideration is given to the clients racial, ethnic and spiritual background. Development of the therapists intercultural consciousness, self-perceptions and understanding is supported to increase their process of personal growth and transformation, which enhances transpersonal experiences and the therapeutic relationship
If you are a counselling/psychotherapy trainee finding the right supervisor can be challenging, especially if you are on a training course with ridged requirements. Beverley is an authorised supervisor and/or therapist for trainees studying at the following institutions:
- Minster Centre
- Tavistock & Portman
