I work with a holistic system to health which views the whole person as a being, made up of parts that ultimately requires unification in order for one to experience health, well-being and success.
I integrate ancient wisdom African-centred teachings with modern day science and theories, and use ancient systems of healing to access the different levels of trauma in our being.
I have a deepened understanding of psychological issues from an alternative medicines, African-centred psychology and cultivation of spirit perspective, and have extensive experience working with people presenting with various mental health issues and psychosomatic symptoms.
I have a special interest in neuroscience and trauma; the psychobiology of trauma; mental health and its impact on the endocrine and the nervous system; and healing systems that engages levels that talk therapy alone cannot reach, to engage a deeper understanding of what is “self” consciousness and will.

My practise is underpinned by Psychodynamic and Humanistic (Gestalt and TA) approaches which are integrated with the use of the arts including, amongst others, mark making and sand tray. I am able to adapt my delivery to maximize client engagement, even when it is not possible to use the arts.
I am passionate about providing therapeutic support for Black and Indigenous People of Colour (BIPOC), to enable them to engage in their own healing and self-exploration. I have a grounding and calm presence, have an authentic interest in people and an ability to build safe and containing therapeutic relationships. My approach is characterised by a deep desire to help others feel connected and worthy of love and belonging through the gift of art psychotherapy.
I have experience working with complex grief and trauma, childhood trauma, domestic abuse/violence, stress, major depression and addiction.
