EVENTS/TRAININGS TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. GENERAL
- Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy CIC, Company Number: 11827715 is a Limited Company Registered in England. We are a community interest company and operate within a not for profit framework.
- These terms and conditions apply to all Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy (M.I.T) events and training courses unless otherwise specified.
- Please note that all items obtained and shared throughout the course/training or event remain the intellectual property of Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy CIC and they retain all the rights associated with them.
- The terms and conditions apply between you and Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy CIC for the registration and attendance at any Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy event or training session. This does not affect your statutory rights.
- The failure or delay of Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy to exercise or enforce any right in relation to these terms and conditions does not constitute a waiver of these rights. Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at its discretion without notice.
2. TICKETS/REGISTRATION
- Tickets are only valid for the dates and times specified so please check your tickets carefully as we may not always be able to rectify mistakes at a later date.
- Bookings and tickets for workshops and training are not transferable unless otherwise stated. You may be prevented from attending future Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy courses and events should you fail to abide by this policy.
3. PAYMENTS
- Payments are accepted via bank transfer and will be subject to checks. If the payment does not go through or the full amount is not paid within the specified time, your registration may not be accepted, and you will be unable to attend the training/event. Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of payment.
4. REFUNDS
- Refunds for the event or training will not be given unless cancellation is in writing and is provided at least 21 days before the start date of the event. In this case, you will be entitled to a full refund minus the non refundable registration fee, unless otherwise stated.
- Once you have booked on an event/training (registration received and confirmed), your booking is non transferable unless otherwise stated. If you book for an online event/training, please make sure you have stable Wi-Fi connection. We will not make any refunds on the basis of poor Wi-Fi.
- We reserve the right to change a speaker at a workshop, training course or event without offering a refund. However, if a solo presenter cancels, Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy will either offer a full refund or transfer to a future event for free. If the entire event is cancelled and does not go ahead, we will offer you a full refund if cancelled according to the cancellation policy.
5. CANCELLATIONS
- Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy reserves the right to cancel, suspend or vary our obligations in relation to any training or event if anything which has the nature of force majeure including (but not limited to) fire, flood, riots, non-availability of materials and strikes. Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy will not be held liable for any breach of contract and tort resulting from such an event.
- If you would like to cancel your order you may do so 21 days prior to the start date of the course. You will be issued a full refund minus the initial non refundable deposit upon request.
- If the event is cancelled or delayed by Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy with a notice period of 3 weeks or more, you may be issued a full refund, including the deposit.
- If the event is cancelled or delayed by Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy within the notice period of 3 weeks due to mitigating circumstances you will not be issued with a refund.
- Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy will not be liable for cancellation of an event due to severe/adverse weather conditions, social crisis, technical or system faults outside of our control.
- Refunds will not be issued for cancellation of an event due to crisis outside of the organisations control.
6. ATTENDANCE & PUNCTUALITY
- You are expected to attend all days associated with the training/event for the duration of the session to receive the full CPD certificate. A certificate of attendance will be issued if the minimum attendance requirement of 3 out of 4 days has been met.
- You will be admitted up to 15 minutes after the event has started unless a later time has been agreed with the trainer or the trainer was notified in a reasonable timeframe of your lateness. Failing to join within the first 15 minutes after the event has started, you will be admitted during the first break as indicated on the schedule you will receive prior to the event.
- Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy reserves the right to change event prices at any time. Any discounts offered after your booking cannot be claimed or applied retrospectively.
- Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy reserves the right to refuse admission or terminate a visit to an event due to inappropriate or aggressive behaviour.
- Certificates will only be issued to those who attend the full course and complete all work / assignments which are completed in time and to a satisfactory standard.
7. CONFIDENTIALITY
- All discussions that take place within training courses and / or workshops are strictly confidential. Participants agree not to disclose any information shared outside of the group.
- You are encouraged to keep your self safe and only disclose what your are comfortable to share, you are under no obligation at any time to disclose personal information although this may be useful for the purpose and context of the course/event
8. PRIVACY POLICY
- Your data is only handled by designated Data Controllers and/or the Data Protection Officer for Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy. For more information on the privacy policy please CLICK HERE
9. RECORDING POLICY
- All training courses (for the time being and / or until it is safe to do so after COVID19 restrictions have been lifted) will take place via Zoom. The main room may be recorded but break out rooms will not.
- Participants who register for Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy training courses will be informed in advance if the event is going to be recorded. They will also be notified when the recording starts or if a session is already recording.
- Training courses that are currently virtual, will take place on Zoom and if being recorded will be recorded on Zoom. Only the speaker will be recorded but if someone raises their hand and / or asks a question, they will be recorded. Participants will be informed of this.
- By attending any Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy training course or event, you consent to being photographed and / or recorded incidentally and to Mabadiliko Therapy’s publication or broadcast of any such photographs, film or audio recording. If you do not wish to be filmed or recorded, please contact eventsmabadilikotherapy@gmail.com when you register. We will endeavour to accommodate your request but this cannot be guaranteed.
- For privacy reasons you are not permitted to screen record, take screenshots or photos during the event under any circumstance.
- Any recordings will be stored by Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy for monitoring and evaluation purposes. Recordings will be deleted once evaluated.
- The recordings are hosted by Zoom but the presentations and rights to the recordings remain the property of Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy.
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
ALL FORMAL COMPLAINTS MUST BE MADE IN WRITING
- We will always do what we can to rectify a misunderstanding or mistake, and we welcome your feedback. If you have a complaint at the first instance please email eventsmabadilikotherapy@gmail.com
- We aim to provide a response to your complaint within 10 business days
THE PROCESS
- Your complaint will be handled by the Founding Director and/or an appropriate senior member of the Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy team.
- We aim to resolve your complaint in a timely manner, fairly and efficiently; usually within 30 days.
- We will keep you informed with the progress of your complaint, and advise you of the outcome in writing.
- If you are not satisfied with how your complaint has been handled or the outcome of the complaint, you may appeal. An appeal may be submitted in writing without unreasonable delay. The appeal will be reviewed by a senior member of the Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy team who has had no prior involvement or an independent moderator, whichever is considered appropriate, and an outcome will be given as soon as possible.
